  I chose Mairs after moving to Arvada and being wholly dissatisfied with the dentist I had most recently been to in Denver West/Colorado Mills. I am quick to form an opinion about a business based on the attitudes and interaction style of the staff. Given the bad experience I had with a my dentist last year, I came to Mairs with a certain degree of pessimism - and I'm happy to say they have been great in every way from the first interaction! The Mairs office feels modern, but still welcoming (in contrast to my previous dentist office, which had the atmosphere of a trendy young women's clothing store, missing only the loud house music). I have been to the Mairs office twice now - once for a cleaning/new patient exam, and once shortly after that for a pair of fillings. The desk staff, hygienists, and assistants with whom I've interacted have all been extraordinarily friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and competent. And then there's Dr. Daren - what a great dentist and person! He has excellent bedside manner, a high degree of expertise, and is a genuinely friendly guy (I've never before had a dentist apologize for having to tell me I had a cavity!). One of the things I enjoyed most about my experience was Dr. Daren's communication to me as a patient during my procedure. He explains what he is doing and why and tells the patient what they can expect to feel (if anything). I found this both reassuring and considerate. I had two fillings and was out of the office 45 minutes after I walked in. I also felt absolutely zero pain or discomfort during the procedure. I have not yet met Dr. Nichole, but the staff speaks just as highly of her as they do of Dr. Daren. The only thing I would change about this practice is their hours (Friday availability would be nice) - but that's purely selfish. If you go to Mairs, you will not be disappointed!
